Three-time Olympic medalist Lindsey Vonn recently shared a video from her recent skiing session on the New Zealand tour. This comes just a few days after World Mental Health Day, where she opened up about her love for the sport.
Ever since Vonn's retirement in 2019, the US alpine ski racer has been frequently seen enjoying her skiing practice in various regions of the world and the land of long white cloud seems to be the new destination for the 39-year-old.
Vonn took to her Instagram to share a video from her skiing session in New Zealand where she was also accompanied by one of her former professional coaches. In the video, Vonn can be seen gliding down the snowy mountains flawlessly, wearing a Red Bull helmet.
Besides her skiing session, Lindsey Vonn also shared clips from her sight seeing and gym training sessions. She also reminisced about the last time she skied in the country in her post. She wrote in her caption:
"New Zealand 🇳🇿🏔️⛷️ was so amazing! It’s been a long time since I skied down there but it was just as beautiful as I remembered it to be!"

These recent skiing practices in New Zealand have further fostered the reports of Vonn planning to make a comeback in the skiing circuit at the upcoming Beaver Creek World Cup.
Lindsey Vonn opens up about her memories from her first Olympic Games

Lindsey Vonn recently took a ride down memory lane to open up about her memories of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. This came just a few weeks before the start of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Speaking in an interview with BBC, Vonn stated that she had an exciting feeling while attending the opening ceremony of the event and also mentioned the influence that the 1998 Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street had on her. She said:
"When I was 17 going to Salt Lake City, it was right after 9/11. It was this incredibly emotional and unifying moment for America – and for myself. I dreamed of being an Olympian since I met Picabo Street when I was nine years old, so to walk into the stadium during the opening ceremonies was so incredible."
Competing at the 2002 event in her first Olympic event, Lindsey Vonn couldn't clinch a medal and finished sixth in the combined event.
However, eight years later, the Minnesota native bagged two medals in the same Olympic edition in Vancouver.
