Noah Lyles had a hilarious face-off with Stuff, the mascot of the Orlando Magic. The Olympic Champion was in attendance at the Pre-season match between the Orlando Magic and the Philadelphia 76ers at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida along with his fiance, Junelle Bromfield.
The American athlete sent shock waves in the track world when he announced his engagement to girlfriend Junelle Bromfield after a surprise proposal. The couple then went to Universal Studios to celebrate their engagement and recently attended the basketball match where Lyles had a face-off with the home team's mascot in a short race on the court.
Lyles received a grand introduction ahead of the pre-season match for his victorious pursuits at the Paris Olympics, which included one silver and one gold medal under his belt. He then met Stuff, the home team's mascot, and indulged in a fun contest on the court.
The two emulated Lyles' 100m final race at the Paris Olympics, where he had a photo-finish with Jamaica's Kishane Thompson to win the gold medal with a time difference of 0.005s. Adding to the fun, the mascot tried to push Noah Lyles out of the court before registering a photo finish action.
They then shared a hug as they went on to hype the crowd in the Kia Arena.

Noah Lyles on playing multiple sports and avoiding playing basketball professionally
Noah Lyles spoke about playing multiple sports as a young athlete in the 'Everybody Wants to be Us' podcast. Moreover, he shed light on the importance of trying different sports before finding his calling in track and field.
“I've done soccer, basketball, we did baseball, gymnastics, I love gymnastics. And then swimming. So track and field was the last sport that I ended up with. That's crazy. Well, I suppose it's in business. It's like, you try loads of others, you try loads of things before you finally hit the one that feels right. Yeah, my parents did not want to force us on the track," he said.
Despite playing basketball during his early days, he revealed why he chose not to take it up professionally.
"I was really like into basketball, but I'm tired of having to rely on others,I wanna be able to rely on myself."
After excelling in his high school track career, Lyles was all set to compete in the NCAA as a part of the University of Florida's Track team; however, he made the ultimate decision of foregoing his NCAA career to turn pro after signing a deal with Adidas.
