Noah Lyles is at the pinnacle of his vocation recently with his incredible wins and smashing records. From having several personal bests to remarkable world leads he has achieved some commendable feats. However, one thing that he has his eyes on is the world record and he has hinted 2024 to be the year of records.

A video is making waves around the internet where Lyles is seen talking about bagging a world record for himself. He reposted this video on his Instagram story which featured him, sitting with a bunch of renowned athletes at the Weltklasse Zurich press conference in 2023.

Upon realizing that among that group of people, he is the only one without a world record, and remarked getting that, saying:

"Well, the craziest thing is I just realised that I'm the only one up here without a World Record. I gotta get me one of those!"

This conference was held on Aug. 30, 2023, and the determination with which Noah Lyles laid his aim at the World Record signifies 2024 to be one of the best for him. This video was originally posted on Instagram by Weltklasse Zurich and the caption of this post hyped Lyles gracefully. It read:

"Smells like a year for new World Records. Noah Lyles at the Weltklasse Zurich press conference 2023."

Lyles has already kickstarted 2024 with a World Lead and all the track and field enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for more.

Noah Lyles proved his prowess by breaking his own record in his 2024 debut at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on February 4. He clocked a personal best of 6.44 sec smashing his personal best by 0.07 seconds and it became the fastest time of the year. He trounced one of his arch-rivals Fred Kerley in this race, who came fourth.

He gained victory with even more flying colors at the USATF Championships in Albuquerque on February 17, 2024. Here he clinched gold in 60m again with a new personal best and a World Lead of 6.43s. In this race, he trounced another arch-rival, Christian Coleman.

After beating Ackeem Blake by 0.01 seconds at the New Balance Grand Indoor Prix, Lyles made the boldest claim for himself for this season. Lyles said:

"Last year I went out there and won three gold medals, claimed Noah Lyles. This year I want to get four. And if I don't get four, I am going after three world records."
