WATCH: Noah Lyles wins $100,000 as he beats IShowSpeed in a race after being challenged by MrBeast

Noah Lyles won $100,000 after he defeated IShowSpeed in a 50m race. The Olympic champion was challenged by Mr. Beast to go head-to-head with the streamer in a race. The challenge came to life when Mr. Beast called IShowSpeed after he met Noah Lyles on a track and latter asked the Olympic Champion to run a race with him.

IShowSpeed took a dig at the Olympic champion on the call and said:

"Noah, Noah, race me! I need to prove to the world that I am the fastest man alive, bro. And I need to race you! Me and you need to race."

Lyles agreed to the race and gave out his location.

"When do you want to lose, man? I am where I always am, I'm in Florida."

The streamer got excited after Mr Beast put $100,000 on the line and said:

"Say on god, I am about to pull up right now. What part of Florida you all at?"

The two met a couple of hours later in Florida and went head to head in a 50m race. Mr Beast stood on the line with the starter's pistol as they took to the mark. IShowSpeed started the race at par with Lyles however, the Olympic champion picked up in the later moments of the race to win the ultimate challenge.

The race was a close battle over a short distance and fans were stunned by the streamer's ability to finish so close to the Olympic gold medalist. As soon as the race was over, IShowSpeed took a dig at the Olympic champion and claimed that the race was a 'tie' however, after going through the footage the team ascertained that Lyles had won the race.

Noah Lyles has been at the center of controversy ever since he spoke about NBA Champions calling themselves, 'World champions'. Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill reignited the controversy after the Paris Olympics and took a dig at his third-place finish in the men's 200m finals. Hill claimed to easily overpower Lyles in a race.

Lyles spoke about athletes challenging him to a race in an interview with ESPN's popular show Sports Center. The American athlete revealed that everybody wants to jump to an easy route to win the title of 'fastest man'.

"But in terms of, you know, running a race, you know, look, man, you got to be serious. Everybody wants to jump up to the top right. Everybody wants to jump into the everybody wants to race the fastest man. I didn't grab this title, title because it's easy or because I went the easy route," he said.

According to reports, Lyles and Tyreek Hill will be competing against each other in 2025 as a part of the 'Super Serious on Sight' series, a knockout event that will feature races between Olympic athletes and professional players of other sports.
