Soon after the marquee event, the US gymnasts and some of their international counterparts set off on the Gold Over America tour across the country. After 17 stops, the most recent of them coming at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the tour is underway with their performance at Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.
The gymnasts, featuring Simone Biles, Yul Moldauer, Ian Gunther, Joscelyn Roberson, Fred Richard, and others, tried the full twisting dive roll, and Gunter shared a video of this on his Instagram handle.
The video shows that the 11-time Olympic medalist received a green tick on her third attempt. Richard and Gunther aced the maneuver in their first attempts while the others fell on their faces or backs.
"This probably wasn’t the smartest thing to try," Gunther captioned the video.
The gymnasts will next stop at the Gas South Arena in St. Charles, Missouri.
Simone Biles and her fellow US gymnasts attempted the standing 1.5 during the Gold Over America tour

On October 9, 2024, Simone Biles, Joscelyn Roberson, Yul Moldauer, Ian Gunther, Casimir Schmidt, and others tried the 1.5, which only the seven-time Olympic gold medalist successfully landed.
She hilariously hinted at trying the trick on the beam but confirmed that she was joking.
"Imma try it on the beam. Just Kidding!" Biles said.
Simone Biles aced the trick in the following try as well, claiming her supremacy as the only one who could do it.
"I'm just a girl. I'm the only one that landed a standing 1.5," Biles proudly said.
Suni Lee is the only gymnast of the US women's gold-winning Olympic team to be absent from the Gold Over America tour roster.
