Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is all set to defend her 400m hurdles title at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The American athlete has been in top form in the 2024 outdoor season as she heads to the French capital for her third consecutive appearance at the Olympic Games.
The captain of Team USA's track and field contingent, McLaughlin-Levrone was previously expected to compete in both the 400m and the 400m hurdles, but the American athlete participated only in the 400m hurdles at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials. She clocked 50.65s to set a new world record in the women's 400m hurdles and qualify for the Olympics.
McLaughlin-Levrone will start her campaign in Paris in the women's 400m hurdles round 1 on August 4, 2024 at 6:35 a.m. ET at France's biggest stadium, the Stade de France. Her top competitor, Femke Bol will also be in action.

August 6, 2024 - Women's 400m Hurdles Semifinals ( 2:07 p.m. ET)
August 8, 2024 - Women's 400m Hurdles Finals (3:25 p.m. ET)
The women's 400m hurdles will also feature a repechage round for athletes scheduled for August 5, 2024 at 4:50 a.m. ET. The repechage round will give runners who did not receive automatic spots in the semifinals a second chance to qualify.
