In Baddies Africa episode 5, which aired on June 8, 2025, discussions among the cast focused on Natalie Nunn’s interaction, or lack thereof, with the newer members of the group. As the Baddies arrived in Cape Town for their first African booking, Gia “Rollie Pollie” Mayham drew attention to the group dynamics and highlighted how some cast members were being left out.
This led to a broader conversation about Natalie’s behavior and how her selective attention was perceived by the newcomers. In her Baddies Africa confessional, Gia stated,
“I feel like you know, Kold Killa, Fana, and Rixan are definitely being isolated.”
Episode 5 highlighted internal challenges as the group adjusted to their time in Cape Town. While Natalie’s presence was not in question, how she chose to interact with different members became a central issue.
Natalie’s selective attention sparks discussion among the Baddies Africa newcomers
Fana reacts to feeling left out
During a conversation in the theater room, Gia asked the newcomers about their impressions of the original cast, specifically Natalie. She asked,
“How did you all feel about the OG's that trying like even being around that try to talk to because I know Natalie. Natalie hasn't been around much, but you know how did you all even feel about her?”
Fana, one of the newcomers in Baddies Africa, responded with a specific example from a recent club appearance. She said,
“Did she usually get to know the girls, because like she was giving everybody shoutouts in the club, and I felt in some type of way, because I didn't hear my name.”
Fana expressed that, although they were all sharing the same space, Natalie did not acknowledge her. She explained that Natalie was shouting out to other people in the section, even though they were all together and showing love. This highlighted her expectation of equal recognition. The key issue for Fana was being excluded from that public "shouting out."
Fana pointed not to Natalie’s physical absence but to how her attention appeared to be directed only toward certain members of the group, leaving others feeling overlooked.
Gia explains Natalie’s history with the group
Gia responded by explaining that she had already told Natalie last season that she needed to "give more in" when it came to engaging with the group. This indicated a shift in how Natalie interacted with cast members over time. Gia elaborated on Natalie’s previous efforts to bond with the group, saying,
“Natalie used to do that like Natalie used to be funday Sunday, where all the girls she's taking shopping. All the girls used to get gifts like.”
According to Gia, Natalie’s involvement had once been more inclusive, but over time, her focus narrowed. Gia explained,
“It started getting to the point to where everybody will be calling her phone when sh** went happening and she'll be in the middle of it.”
She explained that this shift may have contributed to Natalie's reduced engagement in welcoming or supporting the newer members. In a separate Baddies Africa confessional, Gia reinforced her concern.
“Natalie needs to get to know these girls,” she said.
She named Kold Killa, Fana, and Rixan, expressing that their isolation within the group should be addressed. As the conversation continued, Gia reminded the group of the need for mutual respect.
“You know we are all humans, we're all grown a** women. We all deserve respect,” she said.
