Love is Blind Habibi premiered on Netflix on October 10. The reality show traveled to Arabian countries, helping some singles find love without focusing on physical appearances.
Asma and Khatab were one of the couples who decided to meet face-to-face and get engaged. However, when the doors opened and Khatab stood in front of her, Asma got nervous and said she wouldn't be able to accept his engagement proposal.
The couple then returned in episode 5, where Asma explained the reason for her rejection and the things she realized after their reveal. She told Khatab:
"I would usually go for a fit guy, and this is... I told you that in the Pod. And when I knew you, I realized that, "No, this is ... This is all outside things, and they change. I change.""

Love is Blind Habibi star Asma breaks silence after rejecting Khatab's proposal
Asma and Khatab returned in Love is Blind Habibi episode 5 after not going through with their engagement in the previous episode. Upon their arrival, Asma said in her confessional that she wished to work things out with Khatab as she felt that he was a "great guy."
The couple sat together for a conversation and discussed what they felt during their first face-to-face meeting. When Asma told Khatab that she was "very stressed" during the reveal, he added that he could sense the emotion in her, and that's why he tried to calm her down with breathing exercises. Asma then explained in her confessional:
"After the reveal, because I was extremely stressed, I felt like I needed some time to think a little bit."
During their first interaction in the pod, Khatab asked Asma about the physical attributes she desired in a man. The Love is Blind Habibi star replied that she loved a man "who takes good care of himself." She further added that her preferred partner should "do activities and be athletic."
Responding to her checklist, Khatab shared that he was athletic in the past but was not the same person anymore. He expressed his desire to return to his normal lifestyle.
Recalling her preference from their initial interaction, Asma told Khatab in episode 5 that she would usually go for a fit guy. However, after getting to know him and taking some time to think about the whole situation, she realized that her inclinations toward fitness were "all outside things" that could be changed. She added:
"Even I become very fit, and sometimes I go a little bit overweight. So I don't think this is something that I will want to look into anymore, honestly, really."
Love is Blind Habibi contestant further told her partner that they had a connection and clarified that their first face-to-face reveal was just a misunderstanding. Reacting to Asma's realization, Khatab added:
"I told you before that the most important thing about a person are his heart and mind. God has created them. They never change... They remain the same. Looks do change. I mean, I was fit, I was super skinny and muscular, I was athletic, I was fat, I was high. Everything changes. Now we're here."
Asma shared in her confessional all that she could sense from their recent interactions that Khatab was a "very confident guy," which was one of her "criteria in general." She further added that his confidence was one of the things she respected about him.
Khatab then told his Love is Blind Habibi partner that he was pleased that they got to meet each other and all of it was "God's plan." He further added that it was their "good fortune" that they got the chance to be really with their decision to get together. Concluding his thoughts, Khatab said in his confessional:
"The difference between our date in the Pod and this date is that this is visual. So for me, it was a little bit easier. I got to see more body language, and even the physical attraction, and how the smile shows on her face."
