Love Never Lies: South Africa is heating up, and the drama is only just beginning as the show premiered on November 29, 2024, on Netflix. Hosted by Minenhle 'Minnie' Dlamini, this reality dating show brings together six couples looking to mend their relationships and win a cash prize.
Kuda and Lynn, Naledi and Nikiwe, Nancy and Bohlale, Clayton and Wilfred, Munaka and Gontse, and Siya and Pretty are the couples putting their love to the test. The contestants are divided into two villas, Umgowo and Umjolo. Umgowo had Kuda, Nikiwe, Nancy, Wilfred, Gontse, and Pretty, while Villa Umjolo had Lynn, Naledi, Bohlale, Clayton, and Munaka.
Throughout the show, the couples will face a challenging separation from each other, during which they will encounter attractive singles who will test their commitment and devotion. The ultimate question remains: Will they resist temptation and remain faithful, or will they succumb to infidelity?
In episode 3, tensions are running high in the Love Never Lies: South Africa villas. Contestants navigate the challenges of Umgowo and Umjolo as footage from the latter surfaces and relationships are being tested. The close quarters of the villas are taking a toll, and emotions are about to reach a boiling point.
What happened in Love Never Lies: South Africa episode 3?
Episode 3 started with Minnie keeping contestants up to date with what their partners were doing. Nancy saw the footage of Mia and Bohlale flirting. Nancy couldn't help but get emotional as she confided in others and told them that she was happy to let Bohlale go if he felt good with someone else.
Kuda was next to witness his match Lynn's highlights. Veezo joined the ladies in their villa, who were the former roommates of Kuda, outside the villa. Kuda saw Lynn and Veezo hit it off as the latter claimed that he didn't want to break the bro code by pursuing Kuda's girl but was tempted as he liked Lynn a lot.
Lynn even mentioned that she was thinking of being intimate with Veezo and was okay with it as he looked just like Kuda. This irked the Love Never Lies: South Africa star Kuda as he explained that it doesn't matter if he looked like him; "cheating is cheating."
"One thing that did sort of strike a nerve was when she said, 'Is it cheating is he looks just like me?' I mean if I said that, we'd be at World War III," stated Kuda.
This made way for the queer couple to come along. Wilfred was next to see Clayton and Simo cozy up and talk about being intimate on Love Never Lies: South Africa. Wilfred claimed that he was not affected by the footage but expressed that Clayton is here to experience this journey as well, so he can't force him to not go out with anyone else.
Next was Pretty, who was very confident of Siya not getting intimate with other girls. In the footage, she saw Siya being introduced to Mallay. Siya later mentioned that he felt loved by Mallay's touch, which was different from Pretty's. Seeing that, Pretty mentioned that she was not worried as Mallay was not in "Siya's range."
When she got back to the villa, she showed remorse and disgust towards Siya. She claimed that she won't be able to trust Siya again.
"If you feel Mallay respects you more than me, go with her. At least I respect you enough to stay with you," claimed Pretty.
Nikiwe was next to meet Minnie and see Naledi get smitten by Imogel. Naledi claimed that Imogel has something special that she doesn't feel with Nikiwe. When asked by Minnie about the revelation, she claimed that it didn't bother her. But she also claimed that they have issues that need to be worked upon, like intimacy and financial disclosure.
Minnie later switched things up on Love Never Lies: South Africa as singles were ordered to leave Villa Umjolo, and the Villa Umgowo contestants would join their partners in Umjolo.
