“Lowkey agreeing”- Dancing With the Stars fans react to Carrie Ann calling Joey’s performance underwhelming

The Dancing With the Stars season 33 finale aired on November 26, featuring two performances from each contestant: a chosen dance style and a freestyle. Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli rated the performances.

Joey Graziadei, The Bachelor star, and his partner Jenna Johnson incorporated Joey's love for tennis in their freestyle, dancing with lit tennis rackets to Canned Heat by District 78. Before their performance, an emotional Jenna praised Joey as the perfect dance partner.

When it was the judges' turn to rate their performance, Carrie Ann wasn't as impressed as the other two judges. She said she found the performance underwhelming for a finale. While the other two judges gave them a score of 10, Carrie Ann gave them a 9, totaling their score to 29. Fans of Dancing With the Stars took to X to react to the move by Carrie.

"Y’all I almost never use this app, but I’m lowkey agreeing with Carrie-ann on this one… great as an opening number, BUT underwhelming as a freestyle," said one fan.

"Do I dislike Carrie Ann, yes. However, y’all need to call a spade a spade. Joey’s freestyle was boring. It was cute but it just didn’t give what it needed to. Also y’alls hatred for Carrie Ann diverts your attention from her correct analysis of people's dances," said another fan.

"Derek and Bruno giving 10s and Carrie Ann giving a 9 and she’s RIGHT," a third one added.

"I actually agree with Carrie Ann about Joey and Jenna’s freestyle… it was a little underwhelming," another wrote.

While some of the fans of Dancing With the Stars didn't agree with Carrie.

"He’s had enough of Carrie Ann too. Joey's freestyle was so good and Carrie Ann decides to ruin the moment ugh," an X user said.

"Joey's freestyle was better than Danny’s," said another.

"Underwhelming?! Is Carrie Anne serious right now? She will say anything to knock a front runner. Lord I hope he wins now more than ever," added one user.

Joey Graziadei's freestyle performance and what the judges had to say about it on Dancing With the Stars season 33 finale

For their final freestyle performance on Dancing With the Stars finale, Joey and Jenna chose to include tennis rackets from Joey's old profession, in their act. Dancing with glowing rackets, Joey said he wanted to merge his love for tennis and dance. Before their performance, Jenna got emotional saying:

"[I've] waited to be partnered with somebody like you that is so willing to make my dreams come true with my choreography".

Before the performance, Joey talked about his journey to stardom, saying:

"Before The Bachelor and I was just a normal guy living in Hawaii, teaching tennis and it's the thing that makes me feel the most like myself," he told cameras. "I never was good enough to go Wimbledon. This is my chance to have my moment.""

Derek loved the performance. He said it was show-stopping and that Joey was the leading man. Bruno said their performance was inventive and unexpected and said it was a game, set, and match for Joey.
