RHOM star Alexia Nepola's husband Todd Nepola files for divorce

After three years of marriage, Alexia Nepola's husband, Todd Nepola, filed for divorce on April 11, 2024, per Miami-Dade County Court Records. He cited the marriage as "irretrievably broken."

Alexia is the respondent in the case. She took to Instagram on April 15, 2024, to discuss her marriage and the divorce in a story where she said:

"I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage. I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during this difficult time. I'm praying for better times ahead."

Additionally, court documents, as obtained by Page Six, show a prenuptial agreement between Todd and Alexia Nepola dating December 10, 2021. The details of the agreement are confidential.

The news of the RHOM couple's divorce comes after the sixth season of the reality show where Alexia's co-stars questioned the state of the duo's financial situation.

Todd and Alexia Nepola were having financial troubles as shown in RHOM

Although Todd Nepola cited his marriage as "irretrievably broken," it is speculated that the couple's alleged tumultuous financial situation caused the split.

On the December 27, 2023, episode of RHOM, Adriana de Moura told Julia Lemigova that Alexia Nepola and Todd were contemplating separation due to financial difficulties. She revealed this information was passed on to her by former RHOM star Ana Quincoces.

“A little bird told me something in relation to [Alexia and Todd], said that they’re having some financial issues," said Adriana.

Alexia denied the rumors and revealed the two were doing great but had to leave their rented Miami condo since the building was sold. She, along with Todd, and her son Frankie Rossello, moved out of the condo.

Throughout season 6, Alexia can be seen denying financial trouble rumors and even addressed them in a reunion episode where she provided evidence. Alexia Nepola presented the couple's apartment lease and payment history as proof to deny rumors.

Todd and Alexia Nepola's relationship explored

The couple began dating in 2017 and got engaged in December 2019. They made their on-screen debut on RHOM season 4, episode 1. During an interview on the episode, she mentioned:

"After the two marriages that I've had, you know, I was super jaded. I'd literally been married to two guys that had been liars. But when I met Todd around five years ago, I knew that he was going to be the one that I was going to be able to trust. I honestly really want to be married to Todd for the rest of my life. He loves me, and he loves (my son Frankie).

After postponing their wedding due to Alexia's mother's death from COVID-19, the couple tied the knot in an ocean-side ceremony at the Eden Rock Hotel in St. Barth in December 2021. While speaking to The Daily Dish about her marriage at the time, Alexia Nepola said:

"I like to say that the marriage is only really a piece of paper, because I feel like I've been married to Todd since we started this relationship in 2017 and we lived together. But I feel like now we feel it's more like a family thing. I feel like he's taking more responsibility as a husband (and) as a stepfather."
