On Love and Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 7, Destiny asked Latricia about her divorce. She was surprised at how casual Latricia was acting about this big step in her life. Reflecting on her own divorce, Destiny told the cameras that it was a rough phase in her life as she struggled to tell her family about the decision she made. Destiny told Latricia it was a "big day," she continued:
"what is going on? I heard you say you're signing some divorce papers. And you're just gonna do that like it's nothing, and I'm sitting right here. It's a big day."
Latricia on the other hand, admitted that she felt excited to start a new chapter of her life. During her confessional interview, she stated she had never thought that her relationship would come to an end especially after she had been with her husband for so long. The Love and Marriage: Huntsville cast member opened up about feelings regarding this decision, she said:
"I never thought this day would come. But life happens. I was very hesitant to get a divorce cause we've been together for so long."
Destiny told Latricia that a grieving period would soon arrive as Latricia was losing someone she had known for so long. But Latricia stated she and her now ex-husband had already been separated for so long, that it wouldn't affect her too much. Destiny discussed with Latricia what her future plans were to which Latricia responded that she wanted to take her time.

"I don't want to rush into things and I do have things I need to work on myself like communication, so things take time. with me, I already knew I was ready to move on and that there was something else better out there.
