The show will feature highly skilled, ambitious bakers who will be allowed to learn from world-renowned French baking experts. They will also get access to iconic pastry shops in Paris. Bakers will be judged on their baking techniques, artistry, innovation, and flavors.

Boswell added:

"This Paris experience is a once-in-a-lifetime dream for the chefs. As a professional pastry chef, I know the inspiration they received by visiting the city's most renowned patisseries and meeting the supremely talented experts was life-changing for these up-and-comers."

Next Baking Master will feature ten bakers, who will be seen fighting against each other through their top-of-the-class skills. The contestants are:

  • Lindsay Miller
  • Jeremy Intille
  • DeAndra Bailey
  • Brooke De Jong
  • Cedrick Simpson
  • Keely Moore
  • Paige Nickless
  • Joe Settepani

  • Robert Toland

The premiere will feature all the bakers alongside Stephanie and Ludo, and they will get right into their competition from the first episode. It will be about seeing the contestants’ French techniques and knowledge. The first task will be preparing a dessert that represents their culinary perspective.

Following the first challenge, the bakers will go on their first field trip of the show to the luxurious Royal Monceau Hotel. They will meet pastry chef Quentin Lechat and taste his delicacies. The lesson will be about one of the most fundamental French ingredients: cream.

The bakers will be off to their next task, asking them to combine innovation and technique through their cake that must have two uses of cream as the result will pick the first winner by the end of the first episode. Every week, the lowest-performing contestant will be eliminated. Ultimately, the best baker will win the title of Next Baking Master.

Ludo Lefebvre described the culinary competition as:

“Though my culinary career and restaurants brought me to the United States more than 20 years ago, I was born, raised, and grew up as a chef in France. It’s so cool to now welcome these competitors to Paris to live and breathe the amazing baking and pastry culture the city offers – it’s the best in the world. I am so excited.”

Upcoming episodes will feature various exciting culinary experiences for all the bakers through different tasks and recipes. They will also get to meet the famous Jade Genin. Bakers will also compete in the ultimate French soufflé challenge and make a trip to Ladurée, the most iconic patisserie in the world.
