What happened on The Later Daters season 1 episode 1?
On The Later Daters season 1 episode 1, Suzanne went on a blind date with Frank. They both talked to each other about dating, their interests and hobbies. While opening up about her past, Suzanne told Frank that her husband passed away five years ago, which was a difficult time period in her life. Suzanne said:
"So let me tell you something, Frank. You know, I lost my husband five years ago. That part has been tough. So dating at our age is not easy."
Frank also shared brief details of his divorce, saying that one of the reasons might have been "timing." He continued:
"I've been divorced almost eight and a half years now. So it's been a while, I don't know if the timing may have been part of this. But I started my firm and I had to start marketing. I was going out all the time. Some of them don't like me don't get me wrong."
Apart from Suzanne, Nate and Latreecia went on a date as well. The Later Daters cast members discussed their backgrounds and introduced each other. Next up was Anise, who admitted to making assumptions before going on dates. She considered Logan's advice of not making quick judgments.
During her confessional interview, she told the cameras she felt "under pressure" and had a few "concerns" as well. Anise stated:
"It's hard to think under pressure. My feelings for this date, I have concerns. I can go on one date and think I see a trait and go, 'oh we're not meant to be together and I just cut it off. And then if they make it to the second date, you know, good."
The episode ended with Anise meeting George, who was her blind date. After talking about their careers and where they live, the conversation got awkward. This was when Geroge asked whether Anise had the same father for her three kids and whether she had "gotten work done." Anise left the date, stating while telling the cameras:
"I'm ready for this date to be over."
Episode 2 continues from the cliffhanger where the premiere episode ends.
