Michele Dorr seemingly disappeared into thin air in Silver Spring, Maryland, after she went looking for her friend. The case could not be solved at the time and went cold. It was nearly 13 years later that Hadden started giving the details about his crimes to his cellmate, believing him to be Jesus, when Dorr's murder was finally solved.
Read on for a detailed dive into Michele Dorr's murder.
Who was Michele Dorr and what happened to her?
Michele Dorr was born on October 12, 1979, to Carl and Dorothy Jean Dorr in Silver Spring, Maryland. The perfect family did not last long and Carl and Dorothy decided to separate by 1986. While separated, Michele was visiting her father on May 31, 1986.
On the fateful day, Carl ran some errands with Michele and later left her in the garden to play in her small plastic wading pool. He was allegedly watching television inside. But when he came out to check, he could not find his daughter. After several hours, he decided to report her missing to the police. The authorities launched an extensive search for the 6-year-old girl, but they could not locate her.
It would be 14 years before her body would be found. It was buried 12 miles away from Carl’s house in a wooded area near Route 29 in Silver Spring, Montgomery, in January 2000.
Who killed Michele Dorr?
Michele Dorr allegedly went looking for her friend at Geoff Clark's house. However, at the time, Geoff's brother, Hadden Clark was living with him. Rather, he was getting ready to leave as things had turned sour between them.
When Michele came looking for her friend, Clark reportedly let her in and took her to an upstairs room, where he slashed her throat with a chef's knife. He went on to assault the dead body, drink her blood, and eat a piece of her flesh, resulting in one of the most gruesome murders possible.
He then put the child's body in a duffel bag and disposed of her in a park 12 miles away.
Initially, Carl Dorr was accused of making his daughter disappear and he even succumbed to the pressure of interrogation and confessed. He later recanted the confession.
Hadden Clark, meanwhile, confessed to the murder years later after he was taken in custody for an unrelated murder. He also led the police to Dorr's body, finally resolving the case over a decade after the murder.
The upcoming episode of Born Evil: The Serial Killer and The Savior will cover this case in more detail.
