La Boutique VIP is another escort listing service that replaced Zona Divas in Mexico after its downfall in 2018. Zona Divas was an escort listing service that was created by El Soni, El Tony, and others. The site claimed to be a mere advertising agency on behalf of escorts. However, the URL was shut down in 2018, after several models listed on the site were found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The recent four-part Netflix documentary series, Caught in the Web: The Murders Behind Zona Divas, which aired on September 5, explores the murky side of this website and demonstrates the sheer number of women who were murdered in various horrific ways.
Kenni Finol, who passed away in 2017, is among the victims whose previously recorded clips, messages, and voice notes are featured in this documentary. Interviews from relatives of the females who passed away, other persons connected to this website, and several former Zona Diva escorts are also featured in this documentary series, to aid the narrative and to make users aware of this sinister site.
La Boutique VIP is the next Zona Divas
La Boutique VIP is another easy-to-access website, which replaced Zona Divas after the former was banned in 2018. Although we do not know if El Soni, the founder of Divas is behind this website yet again, a few alleged claims state that there are high chances of his involvement in the making and running of this escort listing site.
La Boutique VIP shares the same website design as its former. The models/escorts are listed under various categories, depending on the Mexican region they are from. Upon entering La Boutique VIP, users are first given a disclaimer after which they can explore the URL.
Upon clicking on a model’s profile, users can access their database which includes their height, measurements, pictures, and even WhatsApp and other contact details. To know more about what kind of services the models provide, users have to contact them directly via the contact details given on the website.
As narrated in the show,
"Even though Zona Divas no longer exists, we have other websites that operate in exactly the same way."
A press report in Caught in the Web: The Murders Behind Zona Divas also announced that:
"Social media users are reporting a new website that emulates Zona Divas under a different name. It’s called La Boutique VIP ."
Zona Divas was shut down in 2018
The URL was closed because several escorts listed on the site, starting with Kenni Finol who was the banner girl of the site, were murdered brutally in 2017. Other than Kenni, several other girls including Karen Ailen Grodzinski, Genesis Gibson, and Wendy Cortes among others were also murdered. After repeated deaths, the site announced its closing, to ensure client privacy and protection.
After Kenni Finol's death, the site removed her picture initially and posted this message on the site, that read,
"Kenni was the model featured on our banner. This model was paid for the use of her likeness. She posted ads on our website and paid us for this service. This was our own wish and I hope she gravely benefited from it. “
When El Soni was questioned about the wrongdoing of his URL, he replied to the media and said -
"All right, the first thing they think is that we are mafia. A very dangerous one. And that we are a criminal organization. Not true. We are a legally established company that pays taxes and is audited every year. We are a company that doesn’t violate the law. We simply advertise escort services which in the eyes of many is morally questionable. But we are in full compliance with Mexico’s laws.”
El Soni was arrested in 2019 in relation to the murders of these women and was sentenced to 29 years in prison in 2021 for human trafficking and se*ual exploitation. He was subsequently released in the same year after the charges against him were dropped.
