The much-awaited second part of the historical drama series, Outlander, season 7 premiered on November 22, 2024. The show was created by Ronald D. Moore and is based on the Outlander book series by Diana Gabaldon.

The first episode of Outlander season 7 part 2 aired on Starz on Friday, November 22, at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET. New episodes will be released on Fridays at 12 am on the Starz app and air on the channel at 8 pm.

Outlander follows the story of Claire Randall, a World War II nurse transported back in time from 1945 to 1743 in Scotland. There, she becomes entangled in the Jacobite risings and falls in love with Jamie Fraser, a Highland warrior.

The show chronicles Claire's time travel journey through the cultural and political climate of 18th-century Scotland. She eventually chooses to stay in the past with Jamie, and through the seasons, the couple fight to preserve the Highland way of life. Outlander debuted in 2014 on Starz. Season 7 of the show is inspired by the seventh part of the novel, An Echo in the Bone.


Outlander season 7: Release schedule for all regions

Outlander season 7 part 2 contains eight episodes, which will be released weekly on Starz. The first episode of the second part was released on Friday, November 22, at 12 am ET, on the Starz app.

For the channel viewers, the episode aired at 8 pm ET/PT on the cable network. New episodes will air on Fridays at 8 pm ET/PT on the Starz channel and at midnight on the app.

What is the premise of Outlander season 7?

In part 2, Jamie, Claire, and Young Ian come to Scotland, and so does the Revolutionary War. Meanwhile, Roger and Brianna face problems with their son, Jemmy, missing.

In the premiere episode 9 of Outlander season 7 part 2, Jamie Fraser reunites with Laoghaire MacKenzie. With only a few episodes remaining in the season, fans are interested to see how their relationship dynamic will influence their decisions.

By the end of the episode, Lord John Grey requests Claire to return to the Colonies and save his nephew Henry, which will make her part ways with Jamie. Meanwhile, Ian Murray Sr is also counting his days, and Claire is hesitant to go, but Jenny encourages her to go and sends Young Ian along.

The episode also focuses on Roger's time travel, as he ends up going much further in time than intended and encounters Geillis Duncan. The return of the fan-favorite character will introduce new storylines in the upcoming episodes.

The official synopsis for the upcoming episode 10 reads,

"Claire and Ian arrive in Philadelphia to help the ailing Henry Grey; Roger and Buck receive an unexpected clue in their search for Jemmy."
