Kick creators Adin Ross and Tyler "Trainwreckstv" recently disclosed the massive losses they sustained as a result of the crash that has affected the cryptocurrency market. For those unaware, the cryptocurrency market has had a downturn recently, with Bitcoin, arguably the most influential cryptocurrency in the market, plummeting by a whopping 20% since its record high in March 2024.
During his live stream on Kick with Nermin "Cheesur" and Louis "LosPollosTV" on August 4, 2024, Adin Ross discussed the amount of money that he lost as a result of the crash. Initially, Adin texted LosPollosTV the exact figure, causing him to burst out laughing. Not believing Adin, he stated:
"Nah, that's not real. That's not real."
Adin Ross and Trainwreckstv lose millions after the recent cryptocurrency market crash
The cryptocurrency market is facing destabilization due to various concurrent factors, including potential global economic instability, uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the upcoming United States general election in November, as well as extensive investments into Artificial Intelligence (AI).
After LosPollosTV stated he could not believe Adin Ross had lost the amount of money he relayed through text, the latter told him to confirm it with Cheesur. Subsequently, Cheesur corroborated the amount and stated:
"On my mother's life, that's real, bro. C'mon, Los."
Going further, LosPollosTV revealed the exact amount that had apparently been texted to him by Adin Ross. He asked:
"So, he lost $37 million?"
Cheesur then gave a vague reply, stating:
"I don't want to confirm or deny anything, bro."
In response, LosPollosTV asked why Adin Ross had invested so heavily in cryptocurrency not tethered to the US dollar. He said:
"Dude, first of all, why the f**k do you not have it in USDT...?"
Meanwhile, Kick co-founder Tyler "Trainwreckstv's" situation does not appear to be much better. Tyler has disclosed his own losses due to the crypto crash, claiming that he has lost a monumental $40 million as a result of the destabilization.
During a conversation between the two, Adin Ross could be seen asking Félix "xQc" for a loan of $5 million, citing the recent crypto crash and his gambling habits as the reasons behind his financial insecurity. He claimed that he had made heavy investments in Ethereum, and partook in "gambling off-stream." He promised to repay the loan to xQc within a year.
