Twitch streamer Asmongold has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding the controversial "hanging" skit by magician Max Major on Kai Cenat's channel. The incident, which took place during Cenat's Mafiathon 2 stream on November 27, 2024, quickly went viral, sparking backlash on social media.

While some streamers, such as xQc, have argued that Cenat should face a ban for allowing the stunt, Asmongold has called out certain critics, specifically targeting the LivestreamFail subreddit (also known as LSF). The OTK streamer suggested that members of this group have long harbored animosity toward Cenat and are eager to see him banned from Twitch.

"People are not getting sensitive, they just want to see somebody get banned because they don't like them. Like, LSF has hated Kai forever. They've always hated Kai. Every time there is a positive Kai post, everybody's like begrudgingly, 'Yeah, I guess he works really hard.' They f**king hate him."

Asmongold further claimed that these Redditors have been waiting for a controversy like this to arise in order to push for Cenat's removal from Twitch:

"They are always waiting, waiting, they are like, 'Oh my god, please do something so that we can try to get you banned.'"

The LSF subreddit is the largest streamer-related group on Reddit, with over 3.6 million members.

Exploring the backlash to magician Max Majors controversy on Kai Cenat's Twitch stream

Max Majors' recent skit on Kai Cenat's stream sparked varied reactions online. While many of Cenat's fans defended him, suggesting he was unaware of the magician's plan to perform the stunt, others called for Twitch to penalize the streamer.

xQc has been particularly vocal in his criticism, and he is not alone. Jack Doherty, a fellow Kick streamer, has also condemned Cenat for permitting the risky prank.

It’s worth noting that Max Majors reportedly personally messaged Kai Cenat after the stunt, taking responsibility and acknowledging that he was the one at fault.

As of now, Twitch has not taken any action against Cenat, who is still continuing his month-long Mafiathon 2 subathon, set to end on November 30, 2024.
