On June 16, 2025, certain conversations, allegedly from Darren "IShowSpeed's" Instagram DMs, surfaced online. These images, which were claimed to have been "leaked," displayed flirtatious exchanges with multiple females. The messages seemingly indicate that the 20-year-old YouTube star attempted to woo these women and offered to take them out on dates.
In reality, these DMs were sent out intentionally as part of an October 6, 2023, broadcast. During the broadcast, Speed had conducted a bit where he visited different TikTok livestreams, looking for a potential match. In one instance, he had come across Anya, who went by "ChopperHatGirl" on the platform.

IShowSpeed instantly took a liking to her, especially because the girl donned Tony Tony Chopper's hat, the crew doctor from the One Piece series (a show Darren claimed "saved his life").
The streamer asked to join the livestream and was let in soon after. The two shared their interests in anime, and soon after, Speed asked the girl out on a date:
"Imma have to get your number, you like One Piece, I like One Piece, we both the same age and sh*t, I think you're very beautiful, you got the Chopper hat on too ('I like your Luffy hat', said Anya)... I wanna take you out on a date."
Unfortunately, before the two could wrap up their conversation, TikTok banned Speed on account of "sexual activity and services." This visibly perplexed the streamer, and he later decided to take his discussion with ChopperHatGirl to Instagram, which is where the "leaked" DMs come from:
"What?! How did I get banned?! Sexual? What?! Chat... I didn't even show my meat!.. Ay, chat, tell her I'm about to DM her on IG." (Timestamp - 6:22)

With support from his chat, the streamer opened up the conversation and introduced himself as "Speed from the live." The messages became increasingly intimate as the exchange continued, and at one point, IShowSpeed asked:
"When can I take you out?"
Anya responded positively, saying:
"Whenever you want... I'll make time for you."
The streamer then switched gears, dropping a bold message:
"I'm bricked ASF NGL, you wanna see?"
ChopperHatGirl responded, and Speed clapped back with a witty remark:
"Take it slow, baby. ('I can't, I'm Speed,' IShowSpeed responded)"
Multiple conversations during the livestream, and this particular one with Anya, referenced an August 16, 2023, incident when IShowSpeed accidentally exposed his genitalia during a jumpscare-laced live stream of Five Nights at Freddy’s, creating the viral "IShowMeat" meme.
After ChopperHatGirl mentioned that she had noticed Speed's member "on Twitter," the streamer stood up and exclaimed in frustration. The anger was short-lived, though, as Anya clarified that she was "just kidding" soon after.
