YouTube content creator Darren "IShowSpeed" was recently seen purchasing gift cards for a young fan after the streamer witnessed him putting the cards back onto the display stand. Speed had entered a supermarket as part of his Fortnite OG marathon broadcast, a collaborative effort with Twitch star Kai Cenat.

While walking around the store, IShowSpeed was greeted by a kid standing next to a Fortnite gift card stand. While greeting the young fan back, IShowSpeed enquired:

"What's up? Why you putting that back? Your mom won't let you get it?"

After the child stated that this indeed was the case, IShowSpeed continued:

"What is it? This? Alright, bet."

IShowSpeed recently held a Fortnite OG marathon livestream with Kai Cenat, the aim of which was to legitimately win a match in-game. However, this task was repeatedly made much harder due to the interference of stream snipers in-game, which also invalidated their first victory.

During the broadcast, after his initial interaction with the fan, IShowSpeed called him over to the billing counter and stated:

"Hey, kid! Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Happy New Year!"

After giving him a fistbump, the streamer asked the child if he'd like to take a photo with him, and also invited Kai Cenat to be a part of it. Another individual known to the child then took a photo of the three together on their phone.

The pair's marathon, which was hosted on both IShowSpeed's YouTube channel and Kai Cenat's Twitch channel, turned out to be a massive success. Reportedly, IShowSpeed's broadcast, despite being divided into five separate consecutive live streams, was watched for a total of 5.3 million hours as per statistics available on Streams Charts.
