A'ja Wilson overcame a 2-of-8 shooting struggle in the first half to finish with 21 points as the Las Vegas Aces took Game 1 78-67 win over the Seattle Storm. The two teams tipped off their WNBA 2024 playoffs at the Michelob Ultra Arena on Sunday.

The three-time WNBA MVP shrugged off a slow start to end her evening with eight rebounds, two assists and five blocks, as the Aces fended off a tough Storm defense.
The Storm started with an 18-9 lead over the Aces in the first quarter. The second quarter saw them rally back to end the first half with 52-48. Wilson propped up 15 points in the second half to bring Las Vegas within one as the Storm led by a slender 65-64 scoreline.
Apart from A'ja Wilson, the Aces were led by seasoned veteran Chelsea Gray (16 points and seven assists). Tiffany Hayes came off the bench to drop 20 points, and Jackie Young added 12 points. Kelsey Plum had a forgettable night with just two points.
