After Angel Reese, rapper G Herbo shuts down relationship rumors with Sky rookie: "I'm not explaining myself"

This summer, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese was seen on camera riding in a Tesla Cybertruck with Chicago rapper G Herbo. Last week, Reese made it clear on her Unapologetically Angel podcast that she and the rapper are nothing more than friends.

In response to Reese shutting down dating rumors, G Herbo cleared the air in an appearance on 107.5 WGCI FM, Chicago's biggest radio station for Hip-Hop and R&B. Herbo and the host discussed the footage of the rapper with Reese, which led to G Herbo shutting down the relationship rumors.

"Yeah. No, for sure [we're just friends]. I don't really embrace any of that type of stuff, negative controversy and all of that. Like, I don't even care to explain myself for real. You know what I'm saying? Like, she did that for her audience, and, you know, I'm not explaining myself for real.

"Because everybody that know what's up with me knows what's up with me already feel I don't even care to go on the Internet and be like, 'Oh, no, that's sis.'"

Angel Reese opens up on friendship with G Herbo on first episode of new podcast

Angel Reese and co-host Maya Reese launched an all-new podcast called "Unapologetically Angel" on Sept. 5. The show gives the WNBA star a platform to talk about her career and her life while giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the young star.

In the first episode, Reese weighed in on her friendship with G Herbo, making it clear that nothing is going on between the two friends.

“When I tell you that I can call G Herbo to this day. That’s somebody if I ever need anything in Chicago, he told me when I got drafted, if I ever need anything in Chicago, he’ll make sure I’m straight. And it wasn’t even like flirting or anything, it was straight off like, ‘I got you sis.' Because I’m new to the city.

“I mean, you didn’t see me in the car kissing this man. So where’d y’all get that from?… That’s somebody I can literally call anytime."

Angel Reese has been the subject of relationship rumors as of late. This summer, Reese and Detroit Pistons standout Jalen Duren went on vacation together, with the moment going viral as fans speculated on a relationship.

Despite that, Reese played coy when discussing the trip on her podcast, joking that Duren was her cousin before simply saying she was there for a good time.
