Angel Reese has accomplished many feats over the past few years; winning the the national championship, taking the WNBA by storm, and even paying a visit to the White House. Now, she has made her presence felt in pop culture.
How? Through a casual namedrop on a primetime TV show.
Reese couldn't help herself after watching this scene unfold on the latest episode of "Sistas" on BET:
"Sistas," is a popular comedy-drama series on BET. Created and executive-produced by comedian Tyler Perry, this series follows a group of women navigating their love lives and careers. Reese's namedrop on episode nine, season eight of "Sistas" is another sign that her prominence continues to surge.
Angel Reese spends time with A-listers
This past Sunday, Reese attended the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to cheer on seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Her mother, Angel Webb Reese, accompanied her on the trip.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix marked a special occasion, Hamilton's final race for Mercedes. Other celebrities in attendance for this momentous event included Mary J. Blige, Eva Longoria, and Viola Davis. In addition, Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem were on hand to film scenes for "F1," a movie coming out next summer.
Reese got to meet up with some of these A-listers, as seen in her IG stories.
One story showed Reese being all pumped up with actor Terry Crews. The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star has an athletic background, having played as a linebacker in the NFL for two seasons.
Reese posted another story in which she was standing next to actress Taraji P. Henson, who is famous for her performances in 2005's "Hustle and Flow" and 2008's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
In this story, Henson took the opportunity to say positive words to Reese:
"I am so proud of you. You just keep doing what you do. You are a force to be reckoned with in so many ways, and not just on the court, baby."
Reese teased big things to come in 2025. She will be looking to build on her stellar rookie season that ended prematurely due to an injury.
