Incoming Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has demonstrated her popularity after revealing that her jersey sold out within a week after the 2024 WNBA Draft. The former Louisiana State University star was picked seventh overall in the draft.

As Angel Reese transitions to the professional level, she emerges as one of the most marketable players in women's basketball and a household name in the sport.

She expressed gratitude to her fans for their support in purchasing her jersey in a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying:

“My jersey already being sold is crazy 🥺i love yalllll”

Caitlin Clark, the first overall pick heading to the Indiana Fever, also accomplished the feat of selling out her jersey.

Reese's move to the professional ranks will be intriguing as she becomes part of the Chicago Sky's draft class alongside Kamilla Cardoso, a standout frontcourt player from South Carolina chosen third overall.

Before being drafted, Angel Reese expressed excitement about the prospect of starting a new chapter in her career as a college star transitioning to the professional level.

“I want to start at the bottom again,” she told Vogue. “I want to be a rookie again and build myself back up; I want to be knocked down and learn and grow at the next level.”

In her final run with LSU, she averaged 18.6 points, 13.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Reese won an ESPY for Best Breakthrough Athlete in 2023.
