After just one season as a pro, Angel Reese is one of the most popular players in the WNBA. She had a historic rookie season, breaking numerous records with the Chicago Sky.
Now that she's no longer on her collegiate schedule, Reese is available for Thanksgiving for the first time since her senior year of high school in 2019. On Tuesday, one fan was curious how Reese planned to spend her Thanksgiving, asking the All-Star about her plans for the holiday.
Reese shared that she will be traveling home to spend Thanksgiving with her family at home in Maryland.
"I actually cooked Thanksgiving dinner last year but this year I'll be eating with the family at home!" Reese excitedly posted.
During her offseason, Angel Reese has spent time hosting her podcast, Unapologetically Angel, along with training in the gym to gear up for her second season in the WNBA. She's also set to participate in Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart's Unrivaled 3x3 basketball league alongside a myriad of WNBA stars.
Reese will suit up for Rose BC in the Unrivaled League, which is set to tip off in January 2025. Reese will team up with Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper, Lexie Hull and Azura Stevens.
Angel Reese shuts down fan on X
On Tuesday night, Angel Reese got into it with a fan who called her out for missing layups in her rookie season in the WNBA. The heckler replied to a tweet from Reese, claiming that she was unable to convert a layup on her first attempt.
"U realise u can't make a lay up on the first try most times right," the fan posted on X on Tuesday.
Angel Reese was quick to shut down the heckler's claims:
"Do you realized I got drafted 7th in my class while 'missing layups' as a ROOKIE shooting 39% on the year and was STILL an All-Star and that was the worst you'll ever see me??? Or you just laid up with your dog at home hating Adam??," Reese clapped back.
The exchange quickly went viral, with Reese's response racking up over 2.6 million views.
Despite her poor shooting numbers, the rookie averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists, breaking numerous rookie records as well as the WNBA single-season rebounding record.
