During her historic WNBA career, Candace Parker enjoyed great success along with some tough defeats. While reflecting on some highs and lows from her own playing days, the former MVP clapped back at a fan account.

On Sunday, the New York Liberty beat the Minnesota Lynx in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals to secure the 2024 title. Following this matchup, Parker opened up on the feeling of being in the losing locker room listening to your opponent celebrate.

This post garnered a response from a LeBron James fan account, citing that the Lynx lost due to a bad call from the officials. When posing the question of poor officiating to her, Parker was quick to set the record straight.

"I do believe you must be new here me!? Lost on a bad call ummm YES MANY TIMES"

Across her 16 years in the WNBA, Candace Parker secured three championships. The first came in 2016 in her seventh season with the LA Sparks. Parker reached the mountaintop again in 2021 in her first year playing for her hometown team, the Chicago Sky. While she wasn't a focal point of the roster, the seven-time All-Star won her third ring with the Las Vegas Aces in 2023.

This WNBA season was different for Candace Parker, as it was the first time since 2008 that she wasn't competing. Still a major advocate for the league, she gave a shoutout to both teams that battled it out in the 2024 finals.

On Sunday, the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx took the floor in a winner-take-all Game 5. Things went to overtime, with the Liberty eventually being crowned the winners.

Following the game, Candace Parker made posts for both squads following an exciting finals matchup. She first applauded New York for their title win and a fun WNBA season overall.

Later on, Parker gave a shoutout to the Lynx. Having been on the wrong end of a finals win in her career, she understands what they're going through right now.

Parker also singled out Napheesha Collier in her post for Minnesota. She had a career year for the Lynx, winning Defensive Player of the Year and finishing second in MVP voting.

Following her playing days, Parker is still doing her part to help grow the WNBA. Earlier this year, she accepted a role as the President of the women's basketball division for Adidas.
