The Dallas Wings vs New York Liberty was the lone game of Thursday, Aug. 22's WNBA matchday. The Texans and New Yorkers clashed at Barclays Center in a duel that ended up being closer than expected considering the difference between the two teams' record.
Arike Ogunbowale, Natasha Howard and Teaira McGowan carried the load for the Wings, finishing with 19, 16 and 14 points, respectively. Satou Sabally and Arike Ogunbowale attempted two 3-pointers but neither succeeded. The Liberty got the win and improved to 25-4 for the season while the Wings boast a 6-22 record after this match.
