If DiJonai Carrington has made a name for herself with her fierce approach on the basketball court, her fashion sense hasn't gone unnoticed. The Connecticut Sun star has proudly flaunted her long blonde hair since she arrived on the WNBA stage.

However, the 2024 Most Improved Player has decided to ditch her trademark blonde hairstyle. In her latest social media post on Saturday, Carrington showed her new flame-red hair.

She posted a picture on her Instagram Story. The Sun player was donning a crop top and black joggers while posing for the picture. While posing, she covered her face to avoid the light falling on her eyes, giving an even clearer view of her new makeover.

Carrington is enjoying her offseason before she starts to prepare for the inaugural season of Unrivaled. The Sun's guard is a part of the 3X3 "Unrivaled" league set to begin on January 2025.

DiJonai Carrington makes her intentions clear for the next WNBA season

It was the best season of DiJonai Carrington's career in the WNBA. In her fourth season in the league, the Sun player won the Most Improved Player Award for the 2024 WNBA season. But for Carrington, she is just getting started in the league.

The 2024 MIP made a series of posts on her social media, describing her journey in the league since getting drafted in 2022. One of the pictures she posted was a note she made in 2022. During her second season, she aimed to win either the MIP or the Sixth Player of the Year Award.

The award may have come two years later, but the Sun's guard was more than happy. Carrington also wrote an inspiring caption on her Instagram post: "Delayed, never denied."

"What if I told you i’m jus getting started…🙂‍↕️," Carrington wrote in the caption.
"Thankful for a healthy season."
"Nothin but God; delayed, never denied.🤞🏽😌✍🏽. #Year4 pt.1 #SeatbeltSeason💺."

In her first three seasons since being drafted by the Connecticut Sun, DiJonai Carrington never got a permanent start spot. In her rookie season, she played only one game of 24 as a starter. The following year, she got to start two of 36 games, and in 2023, she didn't start a game.

However, in 2024, she was promoted to the starting spot and started all 39 games she appeared in for her team. In the 2024 season, DiJonai Carrington averaged 12.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game.
