Fever star, DiJonai Carrington and other WNBA players swoon over Marina Mabrey's gorgeous snaps

On Saturday, Connecticut Sun star Marina Mabrey received love from WNBA players for her recent snaps. Fever star DeWanna Bonner and Wings forward DiJonai Carrington were among those swooning over Mabrey as she shared a photo dump on Instagram. The guard has been the leading star for the Sun despite their underwhelming start to the season.

Mabrey's seven-slide post featured glimpses of her first month in Connecticut, which included snaps of her from on and off the court. She captioned these images with a one-word caption, which read:

The pictures received love from various WNBA stars, including DiJonai Carrington, who reshared the post on her story with a couple of emojis.

While Carrington shared Mabrey's post on her profile, Fever star DeWanna Bonner swooned over her pictures in the comments section.

The former Indiana Fever forward was not alone in commenting on Mabrey's post, as Phoenix Mercury center Kalani Brown and Connecticut Sun teammates Saniya Rivers and Olivia Nelson all showed love to the New Jersey native.

"Money Mabreyyyy 🙂‍↔️💸💸💸," Nelson wrote.
"❤️🤞🏾," Rivers reacted.

In the post, Mabrey shared images of her in an off-white blue dress, while also sharing glimpses of her in a Sun jersey. Signed by the Connecticut franchise in the off-season, the former Sky player has become a pivotal figure in the dressing room. She currently leads the team in scoring and assists, averaging 17.4 points and 3.4 assists in eight games.

Despite the Sun's horrendous start to the season, which sees them with a 2-6 record, Mabrey has been a guiding light, as they look to turn around their season in the coming weeks.

Marina Mabrey drops a season-high 34 points as the Sun record their second win of the season

The Connecticut Sun recorded their second win of the season on Friday, as they beat the Atlanta Dream by a score of 84-76. Led by Marina Mabrey's season-high 34-point performance, the victory against the third-seed Dream serves as a huge boost for the Sun.

Mabrey has been exceptional for the Sun this term and continues to get better with each game. Her highest points tally before this game came against the Indiana Fever, where she dropped 26 points in an 85-83 win.

Her performance was arguably the best in the WNBA that night as she finished the game with 34 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds while shooting 59% from the field.
