Cameron Brink held her third annual "Next 22" basketball camp in her hometown of Beaverton, Oregon, alongside her mother Michelle Bain-Brink. They hosted a bunch of kids at the Mountainside High School, where Brink played her senior year of HS basketball.

Brink is recovering from a torn ACL in her left knee, which ended her rookie season at 15 games. She underwent surgery and supported her teammates on the sidelines for the rest of the WNBA regular season.

In the photos below, the 22-year-old's "Next 22" page shared a bunch of photos from the camp held on Sept. 28. They did some meditation, drills and simple workouts with Brink, who was wearing an all-black outfit, as the coach.

Speaking to CBS News affiliate KOIN 6 before her camp started, Cameron Brink discussed growing up having strong female role models.

Brink wants to be just that for the young girls who signed up and participated in her camp since 2021. It's a huge deal for her that she can do these sorts of things as a way to give back. She said:

"Yeah, I always grew up with really strong female role models. So just being able do this for them is a huge deal for me. And, you know, it's just a small thing but hopefully, they can just take some pieces that they learn from this campaign taking on this year and the rest of their young lives."

The "Next 22" basketball camp is for girls only aged six to 16. It's annually held in her hometown of Beaverton, which is a 13-minute drive from Portland.

Some fans might have forgotten, but Cameron Brink was considered one of the three stars of the 2024 WNBA draft alongside Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Brink was drafted second overall by the LA Sparks and immediately made an impact on the team, especially on the defensive end.

While her knee injury was a huge blow to the Sparks, Brink remained positive as she began undergoing rehabilitation to get healthy in time for next season. She's also looking to build her brand with her time away from the court, revealing her plans at CNBC and Boardroom's Game Plan Summit earlier this month.

"Keeping the main thing, the main thing is really important because even though my W contract may not be as much as I'm making off the court, that is how I show up in this space and that's what I love to do.

"So I've been rehabbing really hard. I did a shoot with LegalZoom, probably seven days after I got injured. … And it just kind of reminded me like this injury is not going to limit me. I can still be a businesswoman," Brink said. [H/T Bleacher Report]

The usual recovery time for a torn ACL is nine to 12 months, so it's possible that Brink could return just before the start of the 2025 WNBA season.
