On Wednesday, the Minnesota Lynx hosted the Atlanta Dream at Target Center after their last outing against Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever. Minnesota defeated Atlanta 86-79 to register their 17th win of the season.
The Dream put on a collective effort to try to beat the Lynx, with Rhyne Howard scoring 15 points and Cheyenne Parker adding 16. Tina Charles scored 12 points and Aerial Powers contributed 11 units for her side. Howard added nine rebounds and three assists while Parker grabbed five rebounds and recorded three steals in 25 minutes.
For the Lynx, Kayla McBride led the way with 30 points, focusing only on scoring as she only managed to get one assist and one steal. Natisha Hiedeman put on a show coming off the bench, dropping 18 points to go along with two rebounds and four assists. Alanna Smith continued her quest for the MIPOY award with a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double. She also had six assists and three steals.
After taking the first and second games of the season with 92-79 and 68-55 scores, respectively, the Lynx won the regular-season series against the Dream with today's win.
