Angel Reese spent some time with her mother Angel a day before the Chicago Sky return to action after the Olympic break. The Sky take on the Phoenix Mercury at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Angel's mom has been very supportive of her career, raising her and her brother as a single mother in Baltimore.
In a series of posts on her Instagram stories, Reese shared a couple of selfies of her mother and an image of them together.
"My momma so fine," Reese wrote in one of the stories.

Angel Reese and her brother were always encouraged to pursue their love for basketball, given momma Reese played collegiate basketball for UMBC.
In an interview with Dorothy Gentry of NABJ Sports, the Chicago Sky star explained how she uses her mother as an inspiration for her future success.
"Just being able to be where I'm from. I'm from Baltimore. My mom is a single mom. Being able to raise two kids. I mean, I just graduated. My mom wouldn’t have been able to pay for college for me and my brother without me being on athletic scholarships and academic scholarships," Angel said.
She added:
"I'm blessed. My mom had no student loans, my brother's graduating in December. So being able to walk away from that, that's all I ever wanted in life. Me and my mom, we have a really close relationship. It's just me, my mom and my brother, it has always been. That's my motivation."
Angel Reese ready for the second half of the WNBA season
Angel Reese had a huge first half of the WNBA season, setting the record for doubles-doubles, an amazing feat considering she's only a rookie. Reese is one of the favorites to win the Rookie of the Year award along with Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever.
Reese appears ready for the season restart after a very good break, wherein she went on vacation to London and Paris. She returned to the United States two weeks ago to resume practice with the Chicago Sky.
The Sky finished the first half of the season with a 10-14 record. They are eighth in the WNBA standings, but they can still improve and battle for a higher seed. However, they will need to get their shooting right after trading Marina Mabrey to the Connecticut Sun.
