Napheesa Collier's husband Alex Bazzell drops uplifting 3-word message after Lynx star's heroic season ends in vain

Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx failed to win the WNBA championship after losing Game 5 against the New York Liberty in overtime.

Following the WNBA Finals loss, Collier posted an emotional message on her social media. Dedicating her season to her teammates, the 2024 Defensive Player of the Year wrote that she would be back next year.

"Gut wrenching end to an incredible season. I have loved every minute of being around this team, I love you guys sm you have made this the most incredible year 🫶🏽🫶🏽 Huge thank you to our coaches and staff, you guys are so amazing. And thanks to all the fans for supporting us this season, we’ll be back. 💙💚," Collier wrote.

The Lynx forward received encouraging words from her WNBA peers Katie Lou Samuelson and Dorka Juhász.

Napheesa Collier's husband, Alex Bazzell, also dropped some uplifting words for her.

"To be continued…🐐," Bazzell wrote.

Dallas Wings star Kalani Brown also had some encouraging words for the Lynx star.

"You did that Phee!! No reason to hang your head boo," Brown wrote.

Napheesa Collier had an all-time WNBA season

Napheesa Collier had the best season of her career. The Lynx star won the Defensive Player of the Year award ahead of A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart. The four-time All-Star averaged 20.4 points on 49.2% shooting from the field. She also averaged 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. Collier also finished second in the MVP race.

Collier elevated her game in the playoffs. The Lynx forward averaged 23.8 points on 52.5% shooting from the field and 41.4% from the 3-point line. She also put up impressive numbers in other categories, averaging 9.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game.

The Lynx forward is 28 and has played six seasons in the WNBA. The 2019 Rookie of the Year will enter next season with an even more aggressive mindset.
