Napheesa Collier's husband Alex Bazell had a solid reaction to Laces guard Kate Martin's intense practice session ahead of Unrivaled. The team posted pictures and hustle videos of the guard ahead of the marquee tournament and it caught Bazzell's eye.

Taking to IG, Bazzell had a simple money emoji as his reaction.

Kate Martin explains her preparation for Unrivaled

Kate Martin took to TikTok in December to showcase her offseason workouts.

She captioned the video: "Week in my life of workouts! I fully missed a day of the workouts in the video somehow, but just wanted to share the fun I’ve been having with training this off-season!"

She added:

"This is Wednesday. We just played 1-on-1 for literally over an hour. Just working on creating moves, working on new moves... in 3-on-3 you're going to have to score the ball, and it's just fun being able to play 1-on-1."

3-on-3 and 5-on-5 are quite different as preparation and strategies vary and the Golden State Valkyries guard has seemingly put in extra yards leading up to the competition.

In terms of the WNBA, Martin was picked up by the Golden State Valkyries in the expansion draft after the Las Vegas Aces opted not to protect her in the wake of her dwindling playing time.

Speaking about joining Golden State, Martin said:

"This league is all about opportunity. I am very thankful for the Aces and everything I got to learn there, but I'm really excited for this new beginning and to build something from the ground up with the Valkyries."

Martin is expected to be one of the starters for the Valkyries. Only time will tell if it will be her breakout WNBA season.
