As a rookie, Clark has broken numerous franchise and league records. Her strong play has also translated to team success, as the Fever are going to the playoffs for the first time in eight years.
With four games left in the regular season, Clark's averages sit at 19.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists. Along with leading the league in assists per game, she is also closing in on setting a new single-season record.
Caitlin Clark sets new franchise record in Fever's overtime win
It was a busy weekend for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, as they were in action on Friday and Sunday. In the second matchup, the rookie sensation broke another franchise record.
Coming off a loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Friday, the Fever took on the Atlanta Dream on Sunday. It would take overtime, but Indiana survived to get back in the win column.
The main standout for the Fever in this win was Aliyah Boston, who notched a team-high 30 points with 13 rebounds and five assists. Clark also finished the game with a double-double, posting 26 points and 12 assists.
Clark's outing against Atlanta marked her 14th double-double of the season, setting a new Fever franchise record.
Since play resumed following the Olympics, Clark has been one of the WNBA's top performers. She has kicked it into gear as of late. Clark has finished with at least 24 points and 10 assists in four of her last five games. This stretch also includes her second triple-double of the year against the LA Sparks.
The Fever are in sixth place with just four games to go. With the playoff picture shaping up, they're on track to face off against the Connecticut Sun in round one.
