“Reese’s pieces WE UP!”- Fans thrilled for Angel Reese’s mega partnership with Hershey’s brand

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have been nothing short of electric upon their arrival in the WNBA. The two rookies garnered immense anticipation and they have more than delivered on their end. Adding further excitement around them is the latest partnership between the Sky forward and the Reese's Candy brand. Upon its announcement, several fans couldn't contain their ecstatic energy.

Back on Apr. 17, Reese asked on X, formerly known as "Twitter," about new nickname suggestions since she will be playing in Chicago. In response, numerous fans commented on the "Reese's Pieces" name and were hoping for a collaboration between the two.

Fast forward to now and the fans got exactly what they asked for and Angel Reese couldn't be more thrilled for the latest development.

"Reese's Pieces we up!"

X users Chris (@chrisdigiusto) and Adrienne (@AdrienneHa77838) were all looking forward to purchasing some of the merchandise produced by the chocolate brand. Meanwhile, X users Daddy (@MrSmithMarrero) and Miguel (@LALCHICWS) praised the marketing tactic by Reese's Candy.

"Need a limited edition bag of Reese's pieces too like when Marshawn had his Skittles," the fan posted.
"Damn I was waiting for the Reebok collection. You going to have me broke. I already checked out. I'm going to support everything. Congratulations, Angel, keep doing big things," the fan posted.
"That's the best part about this rookie class. They are marketable as hell. Their WNBA contracts are probably only used to pay their taxes. We all hate the Caitlin - Angel comparisons, but we got to understand they're the two most marketable players in the WNBA right now," the fan posted.
"@Mattel this is how it's done. Drop an Angel Reese Barbie. The streets need it," the fan posted.

Analyst talks about Angel Reese's marketability

During a SportsCenter feature, ESPN's Michele Steele gave an insight into the marketability factor of the Chicago Sky rookie.

"She has over six million followers combined on TikTok and Instagram," Steele said. "That's more than the WNBA's own accounts. Angel Reese has charisma — she's a people magnet who's also worked very hard behind the scenes to amass that following and has a candor that is unique for her age [22] and position."

The numbers speak for themselves as she is able to back them up with her game on the court. This WNBA season, Reese is averaging 13.6 points (39.8% shooting) and 12.3 rebounds per game.
