LA Sparks guard Rickea Jackson is still in the gym even after her rookie season has ended. She shared a short video of her brother Jeremiah Jackson where he attempted a 3-pointer from the logo and missed it.
She took to her Instagram stories and poked fun at her brother by calling him the "weakest hooper on earth."
Jeremiah clapped back at Rickea with another Instagram story and questioned why she only posted his miss and not the attempt where he made the shot.
"Bro shoy my make tho 😭"
Rickea Jackson proved that she is a valuable piece for the Sparks in her rookie season. The Sparks posted the league-worst record (8-32) and had a hard time competing all season long, especially after Cameron Brink went down with an ACL injury.
Jackson has a high upside and if she keeps working, she could be key to her squad's resurgence. She averaged 13.4 points (45.6% from the field, 34.7% from deep and 80.7% from the free throw line), 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 28.8 minutes per game.
2025 could be huge for the Sparks if they draft Paige Bueckers and team her up with Brink and Jackson.
Rickea Jackson clears the air on her relationship status
Rickea Jackson has been more active on social media since her season ended and has engaged in conversations with fans. She clarified that she's single via a TikTok Live session, contrary to what many people commented on one of her videos.
"I'm telling y'all, Rickea is single," Jackson said. "Listen to me, why would I lie? If I'm in a relationship, y'all would know. I'mma tell y'all. That's one thing about me. When I got a man, I would be like, 'That's my man.' When I don't have a man, I'm gonna say, 'I don't have a man.'"
"I have friends. Just because y'all don't know how to have guy friends, don't mean I don't. Y'all need to lock in. Y'all need to be more like me. Stop playing with me."
Despite not receiving the same amount of attention as other rookies like her teammate Brink, Caitlin Clark or Angel Reese, Rickea Jackson had a solid rookie campaign. She is an intriguing prospect for the Sparks who could get even better in her second season in the WNBA.
