WNBA fans reacted to Flau’jae Johnson revealing the reason behind the fallout with Angel Reese. The LSU star spoke to "The Breakfast Club" on Monday when she was asked about her current relationship with the Chicago Sky star.

Johnson and Reese played two seasons with LSU and won a national championship together in 2023. Johnson said that although she wasn't friends with Reese, she still supported her.

"We not friends," Johnson said. "But that bond, that thing that we did together, winning a national championship, you can never take that away from us. I support everything she does, she's killing at WNBA...I am just proud of her."

When asked if the alienation between them happened because of her "people," Johnson didn't deny it.

"Yeah, it was a lot of media, it was a lot of locker room stuff, you know what I'm saying? Stuff that go on behind the scenes. But it happens."

Reacting to her statements, some of the fans slammed Johnson on X, asking her to hold her mother accountable.

"She could’ve just said her mom started it. this just creates unnecessary speculation."

Angel Reese once got honest about her relationship with Flau’jae Johnson

Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson were once BFFs at LSU. The pictures of two former teammates hugging each other after the championship win and Johnson wiping tears from Reese's eyes showed the deeper meaning of sports beyond the game itself.

Unfortunately, things were fated for an end, or perhaps a big pause after a public feud between family members of both players. Since then, things haven't been the same between former LSU teammates.

In September last year, on the "Unapologetically Angel" podcast, Maya Reese asked the Sky star about her relationship with Johnson since joining the league. She said that although they were not friends, there was no love lost between them.

I still support Flau'jae. We aren't as close as we used to be," Angel Reese said (Timestamp: 33:50). "And there's no hard feelings or anything, but we aren't as close as we used to be.

It happens. You don't have the best relationships with everybody and don't always continue relationships ... but yeah, there's no love lost.

Flau’jae Johnson is expected to declare for the draft after her senior season next year.
