Sydney Colson is easily one of the funniest players in the WNBA. From publicly poking fun at her teammates to turning insults into jokes, Colson knows the bright side of being thick-skinned. Now, the Las Vegas Aces player is poking fun at her own team.

On October 11, the Vegas guard took to her social media and revealed that she was the grand marshal at the Las Vegas Pride parade, which will be held on the same day. But the hilarity of the revelation came when she made fun of her team's elimination from the playoffs.

"Think about this. Had we won, I wouldn’t have been able to be 🗣️GRAND MARSHAL in the Las Vegas Pride parade! God got me🙂‍↕️🏳️‍🌈," Colson wrote.

Per the Las Vegas Pride Night Parade's official website, the parade will begin at 7 PM. The website also released a poster with Colson's picture on it, officially declaring her the Grand Marshall for the night.

Sydney Colson is dating her longtime girlfriend Amadi Brooks, who is a former college basketball player. She now works as a fashion designer and works closely with many Aces players for pre-game outfits.

Sydney Colson and Aces players get involved in a hilarious exchange following Colson's Grand Marshal announcement

After Sydney Colson declared that she was officially chosen to become the grand marshal for the Las Vegas Pride Night Parade, it caused a buzz among other Aces stars. Replying to Colson's post on X was her teammate and 2023 Sixth Player of the Year Alysha Clark.

Clark wrote about her desire to become Grand Marshal as well.

"Not quite the same for me, but I juuuuust missed out on being the Grand Marshal for our Christmas Parade back home. Maybe it’ll be my year since you got this one," wrote Clark.

Aces center Kia Stokes was left in disbelief at the exchange on social media and had to intervene.

"Now ac, WHAT??" wrote Kia Stokes.
"What!? She became a Grand Marshal so I’m hoping she rubs off some of that over my way!" replied Clark.

Sydney Colson and her Aces team have been known for their camaraderie on and off the court. However, heading into the next season, coach Becky Hammon has signaled that there will be some change in the roster amid their playoff exit.
