After putting forth an excellent rookie campaign, Angel Reese's season ended after a hand injury. When spotted rooting for her team from the bench, she was drinking Caitlin Clark-endorsed Gatorade out of a straw and fans were quick to point this out. Following the post, Reese had a hilarious reaction to it.

The moment took place during the Chicago Sky's 89-58 loss against the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.

"Very demure. Very classy. Very mindful. I'm a lady," Reese posted.

Reese played her last game on Sept. 6 when the Sky went up against the LA Sparks. As she works her way to being healthy again, she is spending time alongside her teammates in the final few games left of the season.

Caitlin Clark's endorsement deal with Gatorade is reportedly valued at $28 million. It is a multi-layered deal with a signature shoe line, as per primevsgatorade.com.

Angel Reese talks about her season-ending hand injury

Following her season-ending injury, Angel Reese wanted to shed some light through a TikTok video on what happened in her last game of the season.

"The doctors told me that I could either not get surgery or have surgery," Reese posted. "The risk of not having surgery — I could literally have arthritis at 22 years old. ... The bone could literally crack and completely shatter. ... Long term, I literally could not have played anymore because this is a very hard place to heal because the blood flow is little to none."

Angel Reese also revealed her preference not to let the injury worsen by continuing to play through the injury. The Chicago Sky are in the middle of a tight race with the ninth-place Atlanta Dream team to secure a spot in the WNBA playoffs.

Reese underwent surgery on Tuesday and will be wearing a hard cast for four weeks. She will eventually transition to a soft cast in the two weeks following that.

In the 34 games she played this season, Angel Reese averaged 13.6 points (39.1% shooting) and 13.1 rebounds.
