WNBA young star Angel Reese celebrated Halloween in a big way. She broke the mold and chose an unusual villain for her Halloween costume. The Chicago Sky forward shared a series of pictures on Instagram on Thursday with a telling caption for fans.
"Don’t touch me I’M POISON!" She captioned the post.
Moreover, Deja Blackwell, the makeup artist for this costume, shared a behind-the-scenes video of transforming Reese into the DC Comics villain.
"Let’s get into the POISON. Let me show you how I turned @angelreese5 green for Halloween this year!" Blackwell captioned the post.
Poison Ivy is a comic book character created by writer Robert Kanigher and artist Carmine Infantino. She's one of Batman's enemies whose real name is Pamela Isley, an eco-terrorist with the power to control plants. Uma Thurman portrayed her in the infamous Batman & Robin film of 1997.
The video shows Reese going through a major process to becoming this character. Reese had teased a new hair color on Thursday after going blonde earlier this week. Now we know it was all part of her plan to transform into Poison Ivy.
Reese made a big impression with this costume. Fans and some of her colleagues were hyped up about it.
Satou Sabally, Kalani Brown, and other WNBA stars reacted to Angel Reese's Poison Ivy costume
Angel Reese's Poison Ivy Halloween costume was a sensation on Instagram. At this moment, the post has over 431K likes. Dallas Wings' Satou Sabally and Kalani Brown and Atlanta Dream veteran Aerial Powers praised Reese's look on the platform.
Tennis star Coco Gauff and LSU star Amani Bartlett joined this group. Blackwell wrote she had to convince Reese to accept this costume.
Reese has become popular in the WNBA and whatever she does draws a lot of attention from fans. She surprised plenty of them when she went blonde for the CFDA Awards and that trend continued with her Halloween costume.
