The Dallas Wings are scheduled to face the Las Vegas Aces for the first time this season on Friday. However, the team could be without DiJonai Carrington, who is listed as probable with a shoulder injury according to the Wings' injury report.

The injury is an untimely one as the Wings (1-10) have started their season horribly and are currently riding a six-game losing streak. They just welcomed Paige Bueckers back to the lineup during their 93-80 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday.

Traveling to Nevada for their next game, the Aces will prove to be a huge challenge for the Wings, especially without Carrington. The forward has featured in all 11 games this season and continues to be an important part of the starting five.

Traded to Dallas from the Connecticut Sun as part of a four-team trade, the reigning Most Improved Player played 30 minutes in her team's loss against Phoenix, recording 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Despite being listed on the injury report, the former Sun forward could fight through the injury, as her availability will be a game-time decision. Carrington is joined by Miysha Hines-Allen (knee), who is listed as questionable for the game against the Aces.

Las Vegas has its injury woes, too, as superstar A'ja Wilson and forward Joyner Holmes are listed as questionable for the game against Dallas. Further updates on the injuries will be provided closer to tip-off.

Paige Bueckers speaks on evolving her relationship with DiJonai Carrington and Arike Ogunbowale

Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers made her return to the court with a 35-point performance against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday. The rookie had missed four games due to concussion protocols and illness and made her return during her team's 93-80 loss to the Mercury.

After the game, reporter Erika Day questioned Bueckers on her evolving relationship with DiJonai Carrington and Arike Ogunbowale, as she explained how they looked to grow their "ability."

"Yeah, I think we're just continuing to grow in our ability to be open and honest with each other. For me, especially coming into this work, we I wanted to gain everybody's respect. And now that you have that, you want a level of accountability you want to have within the team," Bueckers explained.

Selected as the No.1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, Bueckers has settled well in the league. Despite missing a few games at the start, the rookie has put up solid numbers, averaging 17.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in her first seven games.
