India's winter sports icon Shiva Keshavan is all set for his last run at an Olympic event, as he gears up for Run 3 and Run 4 of the men's singles luge heat in PyeongChang on Sunday.

The star luger had already taken part in the first two runs, where he got an overall ranking of 34 out of a total of 40 lugers. Shiva, who had started off on a poor note in Run 1 on Saturday night, as he hit the side chicanes a couple of times, before steadying his sled to finish 36th, with a timing of 50.578 seconds on the 1,344m track in PyeongChang.

However, in Run 2, where he was the 40th and the last luger to take to the ice, Shiva had a much smoother run, as he went on to finish 31st with a much-improved timing of 48.690 seconds. Although he finished 31st in this run, the little snag in Run 1 meant that he ended the first day on number 34.

Now, the 36-year-old has to finish in the top 20s in Run 3, in order to make it to Run 4, which is the medal round of the event.

Keshavan is appearing in his sixth and the last Olympic event, and the bumps on his way to the finish line did not seem to deter him, as he jumped into the stands to celebrate with a boisterous band of Indian fans on Saturday.

Sunday is set to be yet another emotional day for the 36-year-old, who has already announced that this will be his last Olympics.
