Reese has been facing immense criticism amid Sky's troubled season (2-6). However, the "Chi-Barbie" remains strong despite the negativity directed towards her. She expressed her thoughts on her current season in her post's caption.

"Every successful person you admire survived a season you didn’t see. Idols turn into rivals. Everything becomes about survival."

In the fourth image of her post, Angel Reese recreated an iconic LeBron James meme, with the Unrivaled Defensive Player of the Year laughing with her hand on her forehead. The caption read:

"Smiling through it all! Can't believe this is my life."

The pose in the image and the caption were a direct reference to the Lakers superstar's iconic image from a few years back that became a meme.

The seventh slide on the post featured a quote directly addressing Reese's critics and haters.

"Imagine hating me and I like it," the quote read.

The other slides on the posts featured images of Angel Reese from her practice sessions and a quote expressing gratitude towards the people who have been by her side in her hard times.

Ariel Atkins defends Angel Reese in post-game conference after disappointing 85-66 loss to NY Liberty

The Chicago Sky's season continues to decline as they suffered their sixth regular-season loss on Tuesday against the New York Liberty. The defending champions dominated the Angel Reese-led squad and closed the game with a blowout 85-66 win.

After the game, Reese joined Ariel Atkins for the post-game press conference, where they answered the press' questions about the game and the team's plans. However, during one segment, a reporter asked Reese a non-basketball question and Atkins decided to step in to defend her teammate.

"I’m sorry, can I? Can I say something? This is a 23-year-old kid and the amount of crap that she gets on a day-to-day, she still shows up," Atkins said. "So, whatever questions y’all got about our team, basketball-wise, we appreciate it. But all the other nonsense, like, it’s irrelevant. We’re here to play basketball and do what we do."

The Sky are currently the 11th-seeded team in the overall WNBA standings. They have a 2-6 record, and if coach Tyler Marsh doesn't make changes to his game plans, their season will only get worse.
