WWE 2K18 is coming up and with the amount of press it is receiving, there's no doubt it will fly off the shelves. A ton of copies are being sold before the game is even released because Kurt Angle is the special pre-order character.

Even though this game won't be available on PS3 or X-Box 360 there's still time to upgrade your system if you need to. But October 17th will be here before you know it, so you better get the wheels in motion soon.

We've gathered up a few of the amazing character designs from the upcoming game and compared them to last year's version. Both editions are impressive, but you can see a special shine to the depictions of your favourite WWE Superstars in this new game.

If anything, it will get you even more pumped to play WWE 2K18 when it finally drops.

#1 Enzo Amore

WWE 2K17

<p>

He's the realest guy in the room, and WWE 2K17 did a pretty good job capturing Enzo Amore. His charisma seemed to pour out of this version but there were still some minor details missing.

He didn't have his custom microphone yet but the voice over was spot on. It's hard to get so many things about Enzo right, but last year's game did a pretty good job.

Now it's one year later and WWE 2K18 looks like they delivered big time. Enzo is older but wiser might be questionable. However what isn't questionable is the amazing detail 2K18 put into Enzo's famous ring attire.

The "trucker mudflap ladies" really pop out and he's got his signature microphone as well. 2K18's version of Enzo is pretty sweet and 'you can't teach that'.

#2 John Cena

WWE 2K17

Did
Did 2K17 do him justice?

John Cena is pretty super, but some might say his WWE 2K17 version was lacking a bit. They got his jorts and armbands but failed to truly capture the seasoned intensity in Big Match John's face.

His ripped abs are there and you can even see some veins popping out of his arms. But there was still room for improvement.

The champ is here!

WWE 2K18's version of John Cena looks like a winner to us. As he salutes the crowd and looks into the WWE Universe you can feel the fire in his eyes.

Cena's chiselled jaw and facial expression is top-notch and you can see every muscle pop out. His bulging veins are even more noticeable in this game making this version of Super Cena so good we can't even see it.

#3 Seth Rollins

WWE 2K17

Eo
Rollins last year

Seth Rollins was still "The Architect" when WWE 2K17 dropped and they got his look down very well. Rollins stood tall in his ring gear from the time and looked great as the face of The Authority.

His hair fell perfectly and they had that look on Seth's face down to a tee. But even if they were able to pull off the lights gleaming off of his skin there was always room to work.

The Architect today

This year's version of Seth Rollins looks even better. Although last year's version made him look like a true Superstar, WWE 2K18 is pulling out all the stops. This is another picture which gives you a great look at the detail 2K has put into the character designs this year too.

Even his fingers seem to have gotten a touch-up. 2K still has Rollins' signature stare and facial hair down pretty well, but the intricacies of his physique are pretty mind-blowing.

#4 The Miz

WWE 2K17

Still
Still the IC Champ

The Miz has been around for a long time and he might go down as the greatest Intercontinental Champion in WWE history by the time he hangs up his boots. WWE 2K17 captured his signature smirk as he looks into the WWE Universe to draw massive heat.

The IC Title had some good detail as well. But there was still something not quite right about those sunglasses.

The It Couple

In the latest version of the game, Miz's sunglasses are on point. But an even more important addition is Maryse. Miz's wife looks incredible in video game form as she accompanies her husband to the ring.

The It Couple look amazing in the upcoming game and the IC Title even got a face lift. The intricate detail in their entrance attire adds that little extra something to the presentation as well.

#5 Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE 2K17

T
The King Of Strong Style

"The King Of Strong Style" made his WWE video game debut as a special addition to WWE 2K17's NXT booster pack. The folks at 2K might have been creating Nakamura for the first time, they got a lot of things right.

His entrance jacket was highly detailed and his iconic hair was perfectly in place. The excitement of his entrance was captured pretty well overall. But his face still needed a little work.

The Artist

This year's 2K game makes Shinsuke leap right out of your television to Kinshasa you in the face. 2K got pretty much every detail down from his hair to his facial expression.

His entrance attire looks practically perfect as well. There's no doubting who Shinsuke Nakamura is in this depiction.

#6 Sheamus

WWE 2K17

The Celtic
The Celtic Warrior

"The Celtic Warrior" is no stranger to being in a WWE video game and WWE 2K17 featured a pretty good looking Sheamus. His entrance was extremely authentic as he posed and yelled his signature phrase: "Faugh a ballagh" which is Gaelic for "clear the way."

By how tough Sheamus looked in 2k17 it might have been a good idea to give someone like that some room.

WWE 2K18

Raw Tag Team Champions

By the time WWE 2K18 rolled around, Sheamus had turned a former rival into his tag team partner. Cesaro joins Sheamus in their signature entrance together and it looks like 2K pulled out all the stops to get it right.

Not only are they wearing their own authentic WWE Shop t-shirts, but they also have some pretty good looking Raw Tag Team Titles around their waists.

#7 The New Day

WWE 2K17

New Day
New Day Rocks!

The longest running WWE Tag Team Champions were a great addition to WWE 2K17. Their joyful entrance was full of trombones, title belts, and unicorn horns.

But as they clapped and danced their way down the ramp, there were still a few things that 2K had left to really get it right. Their faces still had room to work on even though they were able to get their entrance attire and authentic WWE t-shirts down pretty well.

New Day Still Rocks!

This year's New Day is practically spot on. Not only are they wearing authentic WWE merchandise, but they practically jump off the screen to pour Booty-O's all over your face. Xavier Woods should be proud to play this game on Up Up Down Down, that's for sure.

#8 Randy Orton

WWE 2K17

Ready for a
Ready for an RKO Outta Nowhere

This isn't Randy Orton's first go around in a WWE video game. He's been a popular character to chose from since WWE SmackDown Shut Your Mouth.

The Viper's signature look was down pretty well and his entrance was very nice. But there's always room for improvement.

The newest version of Randy is even crisper. His tattoos pop out at you and 2K captured his signature stare perfectly.

This picture also gives fans a closer look so they can see the stunning detail 2K put into the characters' hands this year. You can see every rippled of skin on Orton's fingers in this shot. It is really quite a stunning likeness.

#9 Alexa Bliss

WWE 2K17

Ltt
Little Miss Bliss

WWE 2K17 was Alexa Bliss' first chance to be featured in a WWE video game. As you can see they hadn't quite figured out how to capture all of that danger in such a small package just yet.

Even though her details weren't quite perfect, they still got a lot of things right. Her gloves looked great as well as her attire. But the 2K team didn't have her signature facial expression down to a science.

WWE 2K18

The Fiv
The Five Feet Of Fury

WWE 2K18 shows a much better looking Bliss for sure. They've been able to fix some of the minor flaws such as her facial expression and hair.

She's also on the Raw roster now so they probably had a lot more time to work on her to get it just right. This version of Alexa Bliss certainly does her more justice than her previous video game incarnation.

#10 Finn Balor

WWE 2K17

Every
Everybody raise your arms!

2K17 was Finn's second chance in a WWE video game. They had his look down pretty well by that point.

His demon character even included a chainsaw during his entrance like at NXT TakeOver: Dallas. 2K had the moves to his entrance down pretty well and the crowd even raised their arms in unison when the lights flashed. It was a fine representation of Balor.

Fonzie Finn looking very cool

As you can see from this shot taken from the upcoming game, the guys in the lab at 2K haven't lost a step. Finn looks even better from his chiselled jaw and facial hair to his ripped abs. The movements in his entrance is pretty spot-on too and they really outdid themselves.

If you'd like to see for yourself, just check out the video below that IGN recently released. We can only imagine his Demon entrance will be even more mind blowing.
