The biggest stars of the night.
The biggest stars of the night.

After competing in live events at Kalamazoo and Chicago in the past week, the Raw roster stopped over in Rockford Illinois for another solid house show.

Roman Reigns, John Cena, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor were just some of the few top stars who graced the event with their presence that surprisingly had only one title match and yet another heel turn from 15-year veteran Mickie James. So without further adieu, here are the results and highlights of the show:

#1 'Woken' Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt

The two mysterious entities of the WWE have gone accustomed to opening live events in recent weeks and they continued the tradition in Rockford.

Hardy and Wyatt worked a well-paced match and got the fans invested in the story that was being told. The fans got behind the Hardy and chanted 'delete' in unison as the Woken One picked up the win against the Eater of Worlds with a Twist of Fate.

#2 Jack Gallagher vs. Mustafa Ali vs. Lince Dorado vs. Ariya Daivari (Fatal 4-way)

An obligatory cruiserweight matchup followed the opener and as expected, the fans were dead for this one. The high-flying 205 Live, nonetheless, put on a short and sweet yet fast-paced match with Ali coming out on top with the Imploding 450 Splash.

#3 Anderson & Gallows vs. Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel

Two of the most underutilized tag teams in WWE took to the ring in another brief match. The Miz was conspicuous by his absence and it hurt the prospects of Dallas and Axel, who came out on the losing side in this one.

The Club finished the match off with the Magic Killer.

#4 Kane vs. Braun Strowman

It was time for the Big Red Machine to get those hands. Braun Strowman came out to a monstrous pop after Elias first came out and called Strowman. He got a Running Powerslam for all his troubles, after which Strowman challenged Kane to a match. The demon obliged.

Steel steps were brought into play in the frantic match that ended with the Monster Among Men getting the three-count with the Running Powerslam.

Illinois fans couldn't get enough of BRAUUUUN!

#5 Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Finn Balor & Seth Rollins (Raw Tag Team Championship)

It shouldn't come as a surprise that this was the match of the night by a mile. Balor and Rollins teamed up on the heels of the announcement that the duo will be in a triple threat match for the IC title against the Miz at WrestleMania 34.

The former Universal title contenders won the match but couldn't capture the title as the did so via DQ. The Demon King and the Architect got great pops.

#6 Rhyno & Heath Slater vs. The Revival

A filler tag team bout followed and this one break the usual live event tradition as the heels got the better of the babyfaces.

Slater and Rhyno were at their hilarious best but came up short as Dawson and Wilder picked up the win. The match, however, was marred by a few homophobic slurs directed at the first ever SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Revival def. Slater & Ryhno

#7 Bayley, Sasha Banks, Asuka and Mickie James vs. Absolution, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss

All the women of Raw were put together in a tag team encounter filled with twists and turns. James turned on her team yet again but Asuka dug deep and got the Mandy Rose to tap out to the armbar.

The Empress of Tomorrow was quite over as she saw her team through to a victory.

#8 Roman Reigns vs. John Cena

The Big Dog's spotless record against the Cenation leader was maintained as Reigns defeated Cena clean for the 8th time.

Cena got the cheers while Reigns was jeered in the main event. The #1 contender for the Universal title battled through the boos and finished off the 16-time WWE Champion with a spear.
