Indian squad released for the last 4 ODIs; Ishant Sharma retained

Ishant Sharma has been retained for the remaining 4 One Day Internationals against Australia. The decision comes as a shock after the player’s disappointing bowling performance in the last ODI, giving 30 runs in the 48th over alone, which turned an easy Indian victory Australia’s way.

Sharma managed to give away 63 runs in just 8 overs and handed Australia their second victory in the 7-match series on a silver platter.

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni stood by the decision and said that a player can not be dropped based on a single performance.
