Defending Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders have revealed their new jersey which they will wear for the upcoming edition of the T20 tournament. The new jersey has a set of new sponsors.
The Knight Riders have new principal sponsors in the form of Gionee, a mobile phone manufacturer based in China. The jersey has been manufactured by USPA, which is the official brand of the United States Polo Association (USPA).
KKR also have Dish TV, Royal Stag and entertainment channel Colors as official sponsors. In addition, a Sansui logo will appear on the back of the jersey.
Partially owned by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the Kolkata-based franchise have won the IPL twice under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir. They beat Kings XI Punjab in the final in last season’s edition of the competition, mainly thanks to a splendid 94 from Manish Pandey.
They begin their 2015 campaign with a match against the Mumbai Indians on April 8 at the Eden Gardens.
