Sachin's Jersey to be auctioned by Yuvraj's YouWeCan

Yuvraj Singh has transformed from being the party animal, crazy youngster he once was into a mature player who makes sure that he does his bit towards the societs, specially after battling cancer for more than a year and successfully beating it, he now runs a cancer initiative program – YouWeCan. After scoring a brilliant century for his team MCC he is planning to stay back in London and hold auctions for his program YouWecan.Yuvraj Singh started the initiative YouWeCan which aims at’ creating awareness and providing support to the patients who fight cancer’, the deadly disease that threatened Yuvi’s life about two years ago. The initiative also helps in detecting the disease in its early stage and prevent it before it takes toll on one’s health. The auction will take place on July 14 at the London Hilton and superstars like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Kevin Pietersen, Saurav Ganguly and Virat Kohli are expected to show up for the auction which will be organized by YouWeCan in order to raise funds which will help cancer patients. As a special, popular comedian Kapil Sharma is expected to perform a show after the auction.

Along with the things that will be auctioned the ones pegged for fetching the highest bucks are- Sachin’s jersey that he wore in his 200th and the final Test match and India’s 2011 World Cup winning medal. The bidders can also get a chance of a dinner date with the southpaw and a practise session with him.

On being asked about the whole thing, Yuvraj said, "I have always believed that no matter how hard a battle is, if you have the will, you can win it. It was because of my will power, love and support which my friends, family and fans gave helped me to fight and survived cancer.With YouWeCan, I want to reach out to all those who are suffering from cancer and often feel the lack of support in their fight. I am sure with the proceedings we gain from this auction, we will be able to support our agenda of early detection, awareness and removing the stigma around cancer."
